Rev. Stephen Hart - Pastor for Children's Discipleship

How did you meet your bride?

I met my wonderful bride Mary at Mitchell Community College. She dazzled me with her dedication to the Lord as we both served side by side in a college Christian Ministry called Underground Fellowship.

What is your greatest joy in ministry?

My greatest joy in ministry is when I see students and leaders getting excited about Jesus. Students always have the most interesting questions and they usually reveal their heart’s desire by these questions. When they start asking question about Jesus and God’s word, I get excited!

What do you enjoy doing during your free time?

My free time is normally spent hiking a high mountain where I can get away with God. I have enjoyed the wilderness since I was a young boy because it is the best place that I can hear God speak.

What book are you reading?

Currently I have been working through several books: lord foulgrins letters by Randy Alcorn,  Gospelize and Ministry Mutiny both by Greg Stier, and the Narnia series by C.S.Lewis.

What is your life verse?

My Life Verse is John 15:9, “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.” Christ boldly proclaims in this verse that true love began with God and he calls us to show the same everyone. This type of Fatherly love I believe is greatly needed in the world today.

What is downloaded on your Itunes?

If I used Itunes I would have a collection of Thousand Foot Krutch, Needtobreathe, and DC Talk!

If you could visit any country in the world and share the gospel,
where would you go?

If I could do missions anywhere in the world it would have to be El Salvador. I grew up with many Salvadorian friends and have a huge yearning to evangelize to this predominantly Catholic country.
